Randy Akers is a visual artist based on Skidaway Island, Georgia. His work has been exhibited in numerous prestigious venues, including the Los Angeles Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia Museum of Art, and Masur Museum of Art. His art residencies span the globe, with recent programs in Washington, Spain, and Ireland.

Akers' solo exhibition Road to Canaan was featured in the VIVA Florida 500, and his work has been part of Georgia’s The Art of Georgia initiative. He is also committed to social causes, donating paintings to support homeless veterans in Savannah.

"My work transforms unremarkable and forgotten neighborhoods of the South into powerful metaphors, symbolizing lost connections and the passage of time," Akers says, capturing the essence of his art.

Before focusing on fine art, Akers had a distinguished career directing and designing for international media. He taught at renowned institutions, including the Savannah College of Art and Design, and holds an MFA from SCAD and a BFA from the Chouinard Art Institute.
