Kat Green is a contemporary abstract painter based in Asheville, NC, known for her expressive works on paper, canvas, and wood panels. Her art ranges from intimate small-scale pieces to expansive large-scale paintings, using mixed media to capture the subtleties of change and imperfection.

Originally from South Carolina, Kat spent years immersed in the rugged beauty of Joshua Tree, California, before returning to her Southeastern roots. With nearly two decades as a professional artist, her work is held in private and corporate collections across the U.S. and internationally. Currently, she and her husband, artist Bill Green, are transforming an abandoned church into Brimstone Art Church—a unique live-work space and ongoing creative project.

Artist's Statement:
"My paintings explore impermanence, reflecting life’s changes and evolving relationships. Without a literal narrative, I aim for a flux that resonates with viewers, inviting their interpretations. Inspired by wabi-sabi principles, I focus on the imperfect, finding beauty in growth, decay, and subtle details that invite closer exploration."
